Production Blog: Fixing what needs to be fixed

Image
Hello. Welcome back. Today we will be fixing the changes that needed to be fixed. Ok so after doing the peer review we decided on fixing a couple titles. I went back to CapCut opened up the project. Once I opened up the app, I came to realize that the project was gone. Even tho the project was not in CapCut I still had the video downloaded in my camera roll. I added the video from my camera roll to CapCut as a new project. Once I did that I cut out the second scene which was where the characters were introduced. I had to split the scene from the other clips. After that was split I clicked on the clip and scrolled at the bottom tool box I clicked delete. After the clip was deleted I muted the whole project to extract the audio back in. I did this by scrolling on the bottom tool bar and clicked on audio and clicked extract and then selected the same video from the camera roll. After that was done, I inserted the clip that was deleted and cropped it by dragging the right corner to the lef

Production blog: peer review

Hello. Welcome back. After finishing up the opening sequence, it is time for the peer review. We thought it'd be a good idea to have others watch our video to see if we lacked in any parts of this project. The peer review will give us a change to enhance anything that may be a flaw. It would also feel nice to receive constructive criticism. So Sophia asked her mom to watch our video and give any feedback that would enhance the video. Her mom pointed out that the angles were kind of low because during the filming process i forgot to film at a higher angle. Another thing that she pointed out was the name placements. The last thing she pointed out was the sound. While Sophia asked her mom for feedback i asked my sister for her feedback. She didn’t have anything to say about it, however one thing she said was that she was confused on what the opening sequence was about. Taking everything into consideration, we decided to change the name titles. We dont have time to film every scene agai

Production Blog: coming together

Hello, Welcome back. In today’s blog what is left is picking and inserting the music for the opening sequence. I left the music for last because I thought it would be better to get all the video editing and inserting done with first. Now for picking out a song i didn’t want to have to email and wait for someone to reply to me so i decided to do something else. For this process it was easier to just look up no copyright music for thriller on YouTube. There was a whole playlist to choose from. After listening to all of the different choices. I liked one of them that felt very fitting to this project. The music is called trailer tense thriller by infraction. To prepare for inserting the music to the opening sequence. I screen recorded the video and extracted it to the opening sequence. After the screen recording saved I went back to CapCut and went to the bottom tool bar and clicked on "audio'. I next clicked on extracted and picked the screen recording of the song. As the sound

Production Blog: final insertions

Hello. Welcome back. Today, picking up from where i left off. I was inserting the movie title, the movie title is “Don’t Look Back”. I decided that the title would look good in the scene of the two girls being seen walking down the street from behind that I took. This placement would bring the whole thing together. I gave it the same font style and font, I dragged the title to the middle of the frame and made it a little bigger. The next thing was who the music we chose was by. I gave it the name font and style and inserted it on the top left corner. In the next scene “edited by:” would be seen on the bottom left corner. Same style and font. Next would be the producers which would be everyone that was working on this project. I added a filter to make it look a bit cinematic and gave it a cold tone. The producers would be seen on the top left corner when the 3rd girl is introduced in the opening sequence. Next what had to be inserted was the person who came up with the story line and i

Production blog: Inserting

Hello. Welcome back. Continuing from last time I inserted the next actors name. I decided to have Sophia’s name an animation to cut out of the scene with the “swipe left” animation. It’s pretty much the same as adding an animation to appear on the screen. If you swipe left the app will show you options for the animations for the text to leave the scene. For Camila’s I had to change it up a bit for the animation but the font and style stays the same. I put the “blur wipe left” animation and it would go away once the scene ends. I took a break from inserting their names. I wanted to figure out a way to lower the sound of the busy street. I clicked on the clip I wanted to lower the sound and scrolled all the way to the left on the bottom tool bar and found something called “reduce noise”. I clicked on the switch and it automatically turned down the noise of the street. This made it so that the dialogue can be heard better. I did this to the rest of the scenes that was recorded by the busy
