Production Blog: Cropping and Cutting

Image
Hello. Welcome back. Today I will be explaining how I started editing the Music Video. Since half of the scenes were not recorded on my phone. I was sent the videos to my phone. I downloaded each video and inserted them into the Cap Cut project that was started last week. I also inserted the videos that were taken on my phone. I put them in order of how we had them on the storyboard by dragging and dropping them in place. After inserting the clips I added the song. I screen recorded the song from Spotify and imported the sound into the video. I recorded 1:20 seconds of the song just incase we went over a minute. The next thing to do was for the flashback scenes I turned the clips into black and white. By scrolling at the bottom tools bar. I clicked on the "filters" button and went to the section called "mono" and selected the " BW3" option. I clicked on the setting for the picture and dragged the bar all the way to the right to enhance the black and white

Production blog: Beach Scenery

Hello, Welcome back. Today the beach scene was being filmed. Filming after school today was convenient and better for everyone. Meeting after school to record the scenes. Where the main lead ran out of the house and bumped into someone. After that scene was filmed. Making transition to the car to head to the beach. The beach scenes had to be filmed before the sun went down. I recorded half of the scenes and the other half was filmed by Sophia. The beach scene that was recorded first. Which was the main lead making her way to the shore line.  The main lead arriving at the beach was recorded in a high angle. For this shot I had to stand on top of a beach chair. Next, the main lead watching the ocean was recorded. Along side the mysterious figure approaching in a wide shot.  The approaching scene after that was the figure taking off their sweater. To then give it to the maid lead around her shoulders. After being wrapped around in the  sweater. The main lead walked away out of the frame.

Production Blog: The journey begins

Hello. Welcome back. So this week my group began with the filming. The filming setting was at a house. It was planned to meet up at the house. However I couldn't make it. I couldn't get a day off of work. It was agreed that I would be doing the editing since I couldn't make it. The scene that was  filmed was the first few scenes of the main lead at her house. The storyboard was not followed as a male lead was not able to be found. Instead of the main lead arguing with her ex. She will be arguing with her best friend. The storyline had a bit of a change due to us not finding a male actor. It will not affect the whole Music Video. The scenes that were being filmed was the lead arguing with her best friend and the lead running away from her house after the heated argument. After the filming for the first scenes were done I was sent the clips. To begin editing I downloaded the clips. I moved over to the "CapCut" app on my phone and after opening it I clicked the "

Hello, welcome back. Last time we talked about the storyboard. This time I will be giving a bigger explanation. The vision for this Music Video was a girl who was going through trouble with her ex. To cope with how she's feeling, she went to the beach to take a breather and find comfort. As she was taking a moment for herself. She came to face a figure who saw her current state. The figure decided to give her some form of comfort. This led to the figure giving her his sweater. As he saw she didn't have anything on but a shirt. The figure assumed she was feeling cold, so his warmth gave her a reassuring feeling that whatever she is dealing with will go away. Many people could have a their own perspective and view on how they interpret this Music Video. They can interpret the Music Video in views that I can't think of. Like what was said last blog. For this Music Video the setting will be at the beach and the main leads house. The beach was a great choice for this project. Th

Production Blog: What has been done

Hello, welcome back. Today I will be summing up what has been done so far. After the research for this project has been done the next thing that had to be done was the storyboard. For this story board we got a bit inspired from the music videos that were watched for research. The idea of filming at the beach came from "The Neighborhood's Sweater Weather". Not only did it go well with the song but filming at the beach seemed to be fun to film at. With the scenery and atmosphere of being at the beach would be enjoyable to film. Another setting that has been decided would be at a house to film to first couple scenes. Filming at a house would bring comfort as sometimes recording in public would be a bit uncomfortable. The filming for this Music Video has not begun as our schedules have not been able to match with each other. The filming dates are yet to be discussed. As we each have our own busy schedules with school/work. However we will still manage to get it done in time

Hello, welcome back. the next project that is being started is creating a Music Video. In this project working in groups is allowed. I decided to work on this project with Camila Giraldo and Sophia Villeda. I chose to work with them because it would be more convenient for us, since we know each others parents. It would make things easy if we work together as our parents allow us to hang out with each other after school or on weekends. We are very fond of each other, we met freshman year and have gotten to know one and other since then and have went out to the mall/cinemas before. This would make the recording of the Music Video easier when the location of the filming is decided. There was a list of options that were being decided on for this project. The list consists of songs like "Give me everything by Pitbull", "Sweater weather by The neighborhood" and a couple other songs. The song that was agreed to use was "sweater weather". The artist of this song i

Hello there I'm back. Once again, my name is Lizbeth Perez, I am 16 years old. I was born and raised in Florida but my parents were born in El Salvador. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. I grew up in a Hispanic household, so Spanish is my first language but learned English when I started school at 3 years old. I know how to speak 2 languages, but would like to learn a 3rd language. I would also like to move to a different state in the future but for right now I am living in Florida. Some of my interests are listening to music and playing the piano. I would also like to get more involved with photography. When I listen to music I feel more at ease and relaxed. Music helps me feel more productive whenever I work on any homework or assignments for my classes. I really enjoy going to concerts. At concerts I feel stress free and have no worries. Some artist I went to go see was Peso Pluma, Louis Tomlinson and 5 Seconds Of Summer. I plan to go to more concerts in the future but those are
