What technology did you use?

-  The technology that was used to create my commercial was my phone, using an app called Cap Cut. This came in handy because I was able to work on my project at any time I was available. Not only that, but I was able to edit my project anywhere, for example during study hall, at home, etc. Using my phone to edit my commercial became really convenient for me because sometimes using a computer to edit could be stressful. Using a mobile device made it less stressful to get done. Not only did it make the editing a lot less stressful but the uploading process was so much easier. A mobile device because really suitable to create this project as we can't always bring a computer around places. 


What did you learn about the process of putting a project together?

- A couple things that I learned is that these projects are very time consuming. Planning these things before hand makes the whole editing process a bit easier, as you already know what you have to do. Instead of going straight to editing and everything gets confusing because your ideas are all over the place. Getting things done weeks before it is due is more of a comforting feeling because you aren't rushing to get things done the night before it's due. Knowing that you have a lot of time to get things done and even being able to add effects to enhance the project. Taking advantage of the free time you have can be beneficial, when sometimes you have a hard time managing your time. Getting this project done help me learn a lot of beneficial things for the future. 


What do you think you can do to make the next project better? 

- A couple things that I could do to make the next project better is getting more familiar with the effects and additional techniques. To enhance the video quality and to add some flavor, instead of it being a bit plain and boring. Discovering the app and becoming more familiar with it could make my future projects a bit ore interesting and intriguing. I the next project I could change up the format and try something new. I could also incorporate a couple techniques that we would be learning how to use in the class. Using these new techniques could help me develop a better project and maybe it could make things more fun. Putting these techniques in practice could benefit me a lot in the long run.

  Schedule  2/14/24: On this day, all the at home filming will take place. This is where the first four scenes will take place. The easy stuff that can be done in one day. 2/17/24 - 2/18/24: On these two days this is where the actual outside will take place. So, we will have to wait for it to become dark because we want that eerie nighttime feeling. The first day is when hopefully all the filming will be done. The scenes will be 5-30. Picking up from where I left off, the only thing that was left to insert was the images and video from the concert I went to recently. I inserted a picture of me and my sisters at the barricade, by using the overlay button that is seen at the bottom tools. I also inserted some pictures from the VIP friends of friends lounge. Those were inserted by using the overlay, as well as a video from one of their performances. I arranged the pictures how I liked them. After that I inserted text on the top left corner and changed the font color to a lilac. I made sure to cut down the duration of each picture and video. I also had to extend the text duration a by clicking on the text and dragging the right side of the duration more to the right. I had some time left over from the black screen, so I made sure to give credit to the artist whose song I used. On the same frame as the credits I inserted a text and image to thank the viewers. Movie Research: Missing

  What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? -        Some conventions that the movie had, that we listed for thrillers were the sounds. For example, this movie is big on non-diegetic and diegetic sounds. For diegetic the typing of the computer keys was playing a big part as it seemed that we were watching everything from the computer screen.   What conventions of the  genre did the movie have that you liked? -        I really enjoyed the inserts that they had at the beginning where they had the main character typing on her computer. Also, the sounds that they would play when something was going to happen gave it more of an authentic feeling of what a thriller should be with a modern twist. Especially the non-diegetic sounds.
